Outbreak Dance 19

OutbreakDance19 is a multidisciplinary project involving artists from different backgrounds including film, dance, acting, and music. Inspired by different locations in Rotterdam and a variety of cityscapes during the pandemic. Due to this particular context, the city's identity is indeed shifting, its mobility and activity are being directly influenced and affected by the consequences of the pandemic. OutbreakDance19 wants to seize the opportunity to set and express these specific and unique settings into an avant-garde film of 30 minutes. Merging landscapes(film) and soundscapes (audio) of Rotterdam put into a composed audiovisual production with a dance act. The concept of the project is directly related to the evolution and the change of our environment as well as its effects on the society. The time we're living in is unique. Habits and customs are being challenged. The world we used to know is going through a cleansing, while nature is getting more time and space to exist for itself.
