Two children from the Turkish countryside invent a race across a carpet, turning an imaginary game into an encounter with high stakes.
A race through
an imaginary world.
Zeze, eight, pays a peculiar visit to his friend Mercedes. Hesitant to explain why he has come, he accepts her challenge: a race over the carpet. If he loses, he must stay; if he wins, she must listen.
With their imaginary friends, they face life-threatening obstacles, until Mercedes discovers the bitter truth behind his visit.
